Christmas in Osaka

In my last post I promised some views of how Christmas is celebrated in Osaka, so here you go! My faithful companion and interpreter, Yuka Okawa Rinehart and I took an evening off to go out and about the town. We found a beautiful Christmas Festival in full swing, so naturally we took advantage of the opportunity, taking in the sights, sounds and yes, the flavors of the evening. As you can see from the photos here Christmas trees, gaily dressed dogs and of course, Angels are all part of the celebration. I am looking forward to immersing myself in some of the same festivities when I return to the U.S. Christmas Eve.
On my Sunday the Dynavision crew had Ashtar and myself at the Samuhara Shrine for some prayer work. This is one of those Shrines that may not appear very large physically, but which holds great significance in the Shinto practices. Sandwiched between high rise buildings it would be easy to overlook, but it is so worth the visit.
My next stop is back to Tokyo and Ogikubo for a day with my old friend Elizabeth, then on to Tachikawa for five days with Beloved Salon.
May your holiday season be filled with love, just as mine is.
Many Blessings of Universal Love,
Terrie 🙂
