The Cornucopia of life

This is the time dedicated  to thinking about the Cornucopia of life we get to enjoy.

Our complaints

No doubt about it, we find it so easy to complain.  We complain about the weather, our cars, the prices in the supermarket.  We even complain that no one wants to hear our complaints!  All of these are First World Issues.  Please don’t think I am free from complaints.  I’m not.  But when I remember that so many people are struggling to enjoy even one meal a day, it gives me pause to appreciate what I have.  That is the power of setting aside one day a year to specifically give thanks.  Of course every day is the perfect day to give thanks, but to institutionally give thanks, that’s something special.

The Cornucopia

The symbol of abundance is that horn shaped basket we see everywhere this time of year.  Frequently it is placed in the center of our table filled with traditional fall/winter crops such as pumpkins, gourds, apples and dried herbs.  This symbol is such a mainstay of our lives we easily forget what it represents beside a colorful centerpiece.

As Ashtar reminds us in this week’s video, we do live on a planet which is so bountiful and beautiful we are the envy of the Universe.  Isn’t that an interesting thought?  Our little blue planet provides us with so many gifts and all we have to do in return is to honor her.  Honor her by minimizing our waste and our pollution.  That doesn’t seem to be too much to ask, does it?

The Cornucopia of life

The Cornucopia does not have to be restricted to the food on our table.  How many other gifts do we enjoy simply by being a part of this planet?  The Oceans, rivers, streams and creeks are gifts to us.  We can certainly count the mountains, valleys, hills and fields are gifts as well.  Living in the areas we do, our freedom to find new things to appreciate are gifts as well.  How about the freedom to travel and explore the wonders of this planet?  A gift we would do well to appreciate.

Did I mention our families and friends?  Gifts, each and every one.  We have so much to appreciate as we consider the Cornucopia of Life.

And you!

Yes you, my friends.  When I consider the bounty in my own life you are right at the top.  Ashtar has been offering his teachings to the inhabitants of this planet for countless millennia.  I, as his voice on Planet Earth, have been gifted with uncountable years of delivering his message.  Each day I say thank you for this honor but especially as we observe this day of national gratitude and appreciation.  Without you, this life I know would not be possible.  Thank you.

Many Blessings of Universal Love, and Happy Thanksgiving,

Terrie
